Matt has worked in theatre, television, opera, cabaret, dance, concerts and live music, advertising, music videos, scientific research and training, charity campaigns and Olympic Opening Ceremonies.

 

Recent work includes:

Puppetry consultancy for the Michael Grandage Company on “The Lieutenant of Inishmore” in the West End, training and coaching the cast to manipulate and animate a cat as part of their performance.

Creating puppetry elements for two of the productions at the 2018 season at Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre: an abridged version of Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest” creating an aviary of nearly 40 skeletal bird apparitions and realising a plane crash on stage; and a new adaptation of “Swallows and Amazons” by Bryony Lavery, creating the necessary wildlife of the story with the ensemble. 

As an associate director for Page One Theatre, devising “Rise and Fall” - a poetic choreographic and movement based piece for a solo performer and 19 balloons.
