MATTHEW RICHARDSON

Matthew is a director and dramaturg working internationally in opera. He directed Georgiana, a new pasticcio with music by Mozart and others, for Buxton International Festival, which won the UK Theatre Award for Achievement in Opera 2019. He has directed a number of world premieres, most recently Stuart MacRae’s Anthropocene for Scottish Opera. He also directed MacRae’s Ghost Patrol for Scottish Opera and at the Linbury ROH which won the 2013 South Bank Sky Arts Award for Opera.
